New ActiveCampaign accounts went into a new plans and pricing model from June 3rd 2024, and all existing accounts will move to the new model, starting from August 2024
If you don’t consider which features you need you risk paying more than you need to, or losing access to features you want to continue to use.
There’s a big range of pricing for ActiveCampaign plans, from under $10 per month for a small Starter account all the way up to big Enterprise plans – it’s the platform that can grow with you all the way to the top so you never have to move platforms again – phew!

Find out when your ActiveCampaign pricing & plans change in 2024-25
ActiveCampaign accounts created after 3rd June 2024 ActiveCampaign are already on the new model.
ActiveCampaign accounts created before 3rd June 2024 will migrate to the new model on their next billing date* starting from August 5th 2024
Admins of existing direct buy ActiveCampaign accounts (so you pay AC direct, not via a reseller) should get an email from AC at least 14 days before their next billing date after 5th August 2024 outlining the plan ActiveCampaign recommends they move to in the new model, along with a pricing offer – AC are calling this your Migration Offer.
Before your migration date, the account admin can change options from the migration offer and ask for pricing on the combination they prefer to move to. AC are calling this a downgrade and in most cases, you’re going to have to talk to AC via email or a call to get the details sorted – you can’t do it yourself from the billing page.
NOTE: If the account admin doesn’t get in touch with a preferred downgrade, the account will migrate to ActiveCampaign’s migration offer plan & price.
*If you buy your ActiveCampaign account through a reseller this does not apply – contact your reseller for information on your migration timing.

How to choose the right contact limit for ActiveCampaign
Updated November 2025
For ActiveCampaign contact limits there are TWO counting methods depending on when your AC account was opened.
You need to know when your ActiveCampaign account was created to determine how contacts are counted towards your limit.
Contact limit in ActiveCampaign accounts BEFORE 3rd November 2025
For accounts created before 3rd November 2025 contacts are counted towards your limit only if they are actively subscribed to one or more Lists. Contacts who are not actively subscribed to any Lists are not counted towards your contact limit.
Contact limit in ActiveCampaign accounts AFTER 3rd November 2025
For accounts created on or after 3rd November 2025 all contacts are counted towards your limit. Contacts who are bounced, unconfirmed or fully unsubscribed from all Lists are counted towards your contact limit, along with actively subscribed contacts.
3 tips to choose the right contact limit for your ActiveCampaign account
- Make sure you have enough room in your limit for new contacts
- Keep your list clean by fully unsubscribing (accounts created before Nov 3rd 2025) or deleting (accounts created after Nov 3rd 2025) dormant or inactive contacts
- Check lead sources to make sure they are not filling your account up with bot contacts
