What to expect when a renewal payment fails
Sometimes a payment for this ActiveCampaign Academy subscription will fail when our system attempts to collect it.
Here’s what to expect should your payment fail, for any level or payment frequency, on any ActiveCampaign Academy membership subscription.
Stage 1 - Automatic payment retries for up to 3 days
Our system will attempt to collect payment automatically up to 4 times over the first 3 days
Stage 2 - Access suspended for up to 14 further days
If payment collection is still unsuccessful after automatic retries, your subscription will be placed on hold, with all access to courses, office hours and member community suspended.
We will hold your subscription for manual payment for up to 14 further days.
During this 14 days you can make your payment manually.
If payment is not received during this 14 days, your subscription will be cancelled by us. We will try to contact you by SMS or by a message channel to make sure you are aware of the pending cancellation.
*Please note that if you are on a legacy pricing plan, with a lower subscription cost compared with our current pricing, when this subscription is cancelled you lose access to that legacy pricing plan.
How to make a manual payment
To make a missed payment manually whilst your subscription is being held open by us go to your subscription and click "Pay" beside the "Pending payment" order, after first updating your payment details if necessary.
Stage 3 - Subscription cancelled after total 18 days
In the event that payment is not made manually during the next 14 days after that, your subscription will be fully cancelled by us.
We will let you know that your subscription has been cancelled by us.
*Please note that if you are on a legacy pricing plan, with a lower subscription cost compared with our current pricing, when this subscription is cancelled you lose access to that legacy pricing plan.
